Healthy breakfast options can be hard when you’re on the go. If you don’t have healthy cereal or oatmeal ready to go, it’s pretty hard to find a good, wholesome breakfast that will be ready in under ten minutes. Ya feel me?
But there’s always smoothies.
Smoothies are simple and easy…not to mention a great way to hide some greens in for picky eaters, make fruits yummy, and get some calcium in. They’re easy to make, easy to pour into a to-go cup for an on the go type of morning, etc. I love getting in nutrients for the day so I can be active and satisfied.
Getting home from vacation is one of the hardest things. I splurge when we travel. When I get home, I really want to continue splurging. Of course I can’t, though. I tell myself when I get home, I go back to healthier eating. But it is soooo hard to resist baking cookies when that sweet tooth kicks in.
This is an easy smoothie that will satisfy a sweet tooth. It’s not exactly the most healthiest thing in the world, but it’s a heck of a lot better than butter and sugar, right?
The sunflower butter, chocolate chips, and greek yogurt mix well together and amaze me with somehow combining into an amazing chocolate chip cookie flavor. I don’t really understand how, but It’s the best.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Smoothie
5oz. Vanilla Greek Yogurt(or plain yogurt with vanilla extract)
2 Tbs. Sunflower Butter(Peanut butter also works…but sunflower butter is nut allergy friendly)
Handful of Chocolate Chips(optional but highly suggested!)
Handful of Ice Cubes
Blend all ingredients until smooth.
